Another Friday, More Favorites

November 7, 2014
Momfessionals

Friday favorites again! I’ll share some things that I’ve been loving the last couple of weeks. I want to hear what you love right now too!

Fleece lined leggings
I got a pair when I was in Ohio with Laura. I love them. I throw these suckers on every night when I get home from work with a drape-y long-sleeved tee. They’re comfy, they’re warm. They are perfect. I plan to wear them alllll winter long. (As an update, I was looking around TJ Maxx today, and I think what I actually have are fleece lined tights. Which is fine with me, because I wasn’t planning on wearing them out of the house. But if you’re looking for them, I’m pretty sure they’re fleece lined tights.)

Plain lattes

This probably needs some sort of qualification. I don’t love everyone’s plain lattes. There are only a handful of places in Durham that make excellent (by my standards…which may or may not actually mean anything) ones. Guglhupf is by far my favorite. Any time I’m in the area, I have to get one of their lattes. Which, sadly is not all that often. Guglhupf also happens to be my favorite place for brunch. If you’re ever over in west Durham and need a coffee and good food, a Guglhupf latte along with pretty much anything on the menu is a killer option.

Should I have called this one Guglhupf?

Boots
Am I the only person that thinks boots are the most comfortable shoes on the planet? Hopefully not. Mine are two years old from Target. I’m starting to get afraid that the only shoes I’m going to wear all fall and winter are boots. Not only are they insanely comfortable, they are cute and I feel stylish when I wear them, and I’m not all that stylish, so it’s a major win. I do have an issue with booties, though. I just can’t figure out how to wear them! It looks weird to tuck my pants into them, but it also looks weird to cuff them above the top of the booty (I keep giggling when I type that word!). I am open to any and all suggestions here. I’m totally at a loss.

Sea Salt and Maple Popcorn Candle

I got this on sale at Bath and Body Works. I’ll tell you a secret: if you go right at the end of a season, you can get their big 3-wick candles for half price. I got this one for $11. It smells so delicious! I love having a candle burning in the house partly for the smell, and partly for the ambiance. This one totally hits the spot.

And last but not least….

Taylor Swift

I’ve had this album on repeat all.week. I’ve always liked Taylor, but I really really like this album. It is so catchy and a little bit ’80’s-sounding. Even Corey said, “yeah, it’s pretty good.” Which is his equivalent of an enthusiastic endorsement :).

That’s what I’ve been loving this week. My parents are in town this weekend, and I’m so excited to spend some time with them. We’ve already got our whole Saturday booked I think, and it should be a lot of fun!

It’s so great, right? I keep feeling like I’m too old to like Taylor Swift, but I can’t help myself!

I was thinking of buying a pair of those fleece-lined leggings/tights for wearing around the house…I even had them in my hand in TJ Maxx on Wednesday… now I just might have to go back and get them!

Do it! I saw them at TJ Maxx for 4.99, which is a great bargain in my book!
